We met in the Tri-Cities, Wa. The short version is we met through friends. The exciting version is we started dating after a trip to Las Vegas. But the real version is a combination of the two. We met for the first time in the summer of 2011 one day while getting burgers with a group of coworkers after work. Stephen doesn't remember this event, but Amie does. :) We "officially" met at a BBQ hosted by a mutual friend and coworker in September 2011. There was a large group of people hanging out, eating burgers, playing lawn games. It was a grand time. Shortly after that, unbeknownst to Amie, Stephen asked our mutual friend for Amie's phone number. We started texting back and forth, instant messaged at work, and hung out together within our friend group. Everyone knew Amie had a crush on Stephen, and multiple friends informed Stephen of this secret. Nothing happened on the dating front until November 2011, when a group of us took a trip to Las Vegas. We enjoyed the nightlife and gambling away our money. Stephen walked Amie up to her room each night/morning, and finally on the second to last night of our trip, Stephen asked Amie out for a date. The Friday after we returned from Vegas, we went out for dinner at Tagaris Winery. The rest is basically history.

We spend a lot of our time with friends and family, camping, backpacking, hiking, vacations, dinners, movies, lazy days, and Netflix.
